To the OP, these are the population clusters that 23andme uses in assigning locations to DNA: https://customercare.23andme.com/hc/...tomer_Care.png

As you can see, if you do have Romani ancestors then you should see some South Asian in your 23andme results.

there is no DNA test to find out if you're a gypsy. I am myself a gypsy, and I can recommend to you is to find the last name of yours grandmother, because usually all have gypsy surnames used under very romanichal familly across the Europe even if they are not familly. In short gypsy those of Hungary and Slovakia as you may know whether that is or is not a gypsy. and maybe you'll even find familly on fb from Hungary.

I, too, have Hungarian ancestors I suspect were gypsies. My son saw the name I was born with on a Holocaust register as "gypsy." There are other clues that may point to this. Thank you all for the information you've provided. It's been very difficult to figure out my roots.
