I have a close friend with the last name "Butts". When she got married, she hyphenated it with her husband's last name. I guess she's OK with it!
She did say that when she was a kid in school and the teacher was calling attendance, she would raise her hand and yell "HERE" as soon as the teacher said her first name, lol.
I have a business colleague named Butts and used to have a landlord named Butts. Butt is a perfectly respectable Indo-Paki surname and Stephen Butt, also an acquaintance of mine, is a world-famous investment manager: Bonanza in the tens of millions adds to City chief's £380 million | This is Money. I guess I'm just chock full of butts.
Anyway, a butt is just a part of the human body.
The name has been around a lot longer than "butt" has been used for a part of the human body.
Those of us who have lived around here for a long time call it the H-E-Butt (as in, "are you going to the Walmart?" "Nope, I'm going to the H-E-Butt.")
Sooooo did you hear about the buy out of Whole Foods by HEB?

They are going to change the name of Whole Foods to Butt Whole Foods.
Probably. I've run a across a few in my time. The worst had to be a man whose last name was Raper. He's a stronger person than me to wear that one around.
I dated a guy whose last name was Dick. He talked of marrying me, but I couldn't envision taking that name. One day, he said he was thinking of changing his last name to something else, like Dixon, and I told him that sounded like a great idea. Later, he said he'd decided against it for fear of hurting his dad's feelings. We didn't end up staying together-not for that reason, but either way, I'm thankful that I didn't end up with that name.
