Individuals that fixate on being white or black have to have a contrast to have an identity. Literally black and white thinking. Yes it's really that simple.
I wouldn't say that, but white people do definitely love their Asians. They don't call them (and treat them like) "the model minority" for nothing. Also, there are waaaaay more White/Asian mixed race couples, marriages, and children in America than White/Black ones.
It's not my place to assign racial labels to mixed race people. They are what they say they are. Skin pigmentation is a meaningless way to judge people.

I'm sorry but that's not true lol, last year 13 percent of interracial marriages were between Asians and whites and 9.7 percent were between blacks and whites. So it's not "waaaay" more.
Half white/Half Asian in the USA = 800,000
Half White/Half black in the USA= 1,7000,000
If you live in California or the west coast you will see more Asian/White mixes than if you live in DC or Atlanta where you would see a lot of black/white mixes for example.
Any who that's really not what this thread is about. I'm just glad to see that all of these numbers are raising and that the racial walls that have separated this country so much are slowly diminishing.

What race do you consider half black half white people?
North American.
It's about time we take color and shades of skin to be of any relevance. Take pride in being American and be thankful for the fact that we live in the best country in the entire world.

Creating a new racial category is not progress, it's actually regression. South Africa most always did have a "Colored" category for bi-racial people.
They are whatever it suits them to be and this is almost always black largely because of the benefits they receive from being labeled as such.
What benefits would those be and where can I sign up for mine?
