I had one grandfather who died 12 years before my birth, one grandfather who died when I was about 2 years old, and a grandmother who died when I was 11. I never grew up with any grandfathers, except for a step grandfather, however him and my grandmother lived in another state so I never saw him that much. My great grandparents were all born in the 1800s.....yikes....so it's safe to say that I never met them. My forebearers seemed to have had this grand tradition of starting families in their late thirties or early 40s, which back then, wasn't as common as it is now.

My own grandson has three great grandparents on his mom's side still living.

When I was born, my great great grandfather was still alive. I had a great grandmother who died when I was 20. My grandfather is 94 and he is a great grandfather many times and I think he is rooting for a great great grand....but none of my nieces are obliging him!

I met three of my great-grandparents. One passed when I was a child. Another when I was in college, and I knew her pretty well. The last one to pass, just a few years ago, was also a part of my life and lived long enough to meet my children. We have a wonderful picture of five generations - my child, me, my mother, her father, his mother.

Did not meet any of my great grandparents. 4 died before I was born, 3 died shortly after, and 1 died later. The last one was my mother's maternal grandmother, I went with my mother to her funeral in Texas where I met family beyond 1st cousins for the first time.

Only met my grandfather's maybe twice each before they died, was very young both times so barely remember. My paternal grandmother died a few years ago, didn't see her often but was fortunate she and my wife met before she passed. My remaining living grandparent is my maternal grandmother.

I was alive for two great-grandmas. I had a great grandpa who died less than a year before I was born and another great-grandma who died less than two years before.

The others died long before I was born. My mom never met her paternal grandmother- she passed at 49 of cancer. My parents were alive for the rest of their grandparents though.

I had one great grandmother who lived to be 103 and died when I was 12. The whole time I can remember them they were very frail and had little personality left. I never knew either of my paternal grandparents, grandma died at age 34 and I was only 3 when grandpa died. I have no memories of my father either as he died when I was less than a year old, although he was a terrible person so I didn't miss out. I did get to know both of mom's parents and was around them a lot. Grandpa died when I was 9, grandma lived until I was 23. I actually spent part of my childhood on their 70 acres or farm and forest.

Sadly no :-(

However, I am fortunate in that I knew one of my great grandfathers until I was 14 and he died. I knew 3 of my great grandmothers until they passed away, the last one passed away in 2008 when she was 93 years old. I also knew my great great grandmother (the 93 year old's mother). She died when she was 104 years old in 1995.

Then you should be in contact with the media. Only one human has ever been verified to be older that 120. However, be prepared to discuss why all the generations are factors of 6.

My dad has 15 grandchildren; ages 14-32 & 5 great-grandchildren, ages 6 months - 9 years old.

He is the only one of that generation left with us but my 4 grandchildren have their Great-Great Grandma Gloria, who has outlived all the grandparents except for my dad.

She's 98 years old & going strong; lied about her age by a decade to get a job as a Walmart Greeter, after retiring from 50 + years as a hospital ER head nurse.
