Seems the prices for DNA kits are steadily coming down, and sales have been going on for quite a while.

Does anyone predict, or know of any deeper discounts for Black Friday possibly? Hoping to get a few kits for my parents - need their DNA to help me with my detective work!

I doubt AncestryDNA goes lower than the $59 + shipping they have going on until the 21st of November. But that's just a guess on my part after reading posts from others with much more experience.

I do know AncestryDNA is the one I would trust most to give accurate results due to their huge database to compare against. MyHeritage was very inaccurate when I downloaded my results for free on their site. 23andMe would probably be 2nd best, PA2UK and a couple others here would have a better idea if that is the case.

Bought a kit for my mother and she'll probably receive it today. Will be visiting to help her set up an account on AncestryDNA, activate the kit, and do what she needs to before sending it off. She's 79 years old and not comfortable doing things online like setting up accounts. When I told her I had my DNA tested she mentioned it was something she really wanted to do also and to let her know when there was another sale. Took care of that one for her. I enjoyed finding out my results, and a little surprised. She'll enjoy it too.

Veterans Day | Discover heroes at Ancestry
Above quote is from November 2017. Was watching to see if there would be another sale this Veteran's Day and they just put it up on their site within the last few hours. Sale is for 11/11/2018, Sunday, until midnight. Six month subscriptions and for new subscribers only.

I've been watching Anceatry sales for close to 4 years, $59 is the cheapest. You may get lucky and find a free shipping coupon you can use and don't forget to use the 2 cash back sites when ordering. I totally forgot to use my ebates and the other site when I ordered my last 3

My Heritage DNA has a pre-Thanksgiving sale for $49 and free shipping on 3+ kits
That's the cheapest I've seen it but I would not pay for My heritage when they do free uploads even with them charging December 1st. I'd rather you buy Ancestry and upload to my heritage for a small fee. I have matches there that I don't have on ancestry but all of my main relatives are on ancestry. And don't get me wrong, I love my heritage! They offer the most stuff and for free! I love how they sort matches by country and love their chromosome browser

Newspapers.com is $54.90 for 6 months for new subscribers. Ends on 11/25. That's 20 off regular price.

Dante has a $199 WGS 30X special going on until 11/26. I think it costs another $69 for a HDD to store the BAM file if you don't want to download it.
https://www.accesswire.com/528424/Da...ck-Friday-Week
https://us.dantelabs.com/

This seems like an amazing deal.
$199 WGS 30X
$69 HDD
$49 Y-Full analysis
$317 Total

This would get you health reports, Y-DNA and mtDNA haplogroups, Y-STR values, Y-SNP's, etc for a lot less than it would cost at FTDNA to get the equivalent.
