Does anyone have any information on Moore,Kersey,Herrens of Marion SC. I am a member of ancestry, but have hit a wall. Robert Moore was born in 1820 in Georgia. The 1850 census showed him married to Mary "Polly" Herren in Wahee-Marion SC. If anyone has any info. Please let me know. Thank you!

Try www.familysearch.org Although many of their databases are the same as Ancestry, the two do diverge on some.

Try alternate spellings of the surname.

Find out if any local newspaper from the 1800's has been indexed by the local genealogy or historical society, or if it has been digitized on-line. You can check Chronicling America Library of Congress
or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipe...paper_archives

Try contacting the local town clerk to find out what vital records, or probate records, or land records are extant.

Good luck!
