Is Provencial that far off? It looks like both Ancestry.com and MyHeritage include southern France in their "Iberian" region along with Spain and Portugal.

It is very interesting to me to see the results of people who are of a single known ancestry. My wife, all known family from a small group of Greek Island, has a test pending and I don't know what to expect. Part of me says she will come back Greek + Greek + Greek + Greek, but more likely I will see at least a little "pull" in her Oracle results.

In your case, it seems you have a "pull" towards the South and East. I wonder if you do have more Jewish ancestry than the sample Iberian populations, or if nearly everyone sees something similar happen to them in Oracle.

I'm pretty typical for a Portuguese person on Eurogenes K15 I plot just East of Portugal slightly in the direction of North Italy.

Yes, very close it seems.

My back of the envelope calculation for the MDLP K16 Portugese reference sample seems to indicate you have about 2.5% more Steppe and Caucasian, which maybe why Oracle is assigning you mostly Spanish groups, not Portugese (for the Steppe component) and some Balkan admix to try and make up that difference in the Caucasian percent.

I have some distant Belgian/French ancestry but it's a minor amount and both my parents mtDNA pick up the Suebi migration to the North of Portugal. I do have a higher Caucasian component which I attribute to the Alani(an Iranian tribe) the migration to Portugal occurred about 1,500 years ago and I have found some matches from my extended family that match North Ossetians. Autosomal DNA matches with 7cM segments as well as some Y-DNA matches with North Iranians the split occurred about 2,200 YBP.

I doubt Gedmatch would kick out these sort of estimates for her but keep us updated. Those are the sort of results you see for people that are from relatively isolated, poverty stricken populations that did little trading.

I'm still not 100% sure where the Indian/South Asian keeps coming up. I have some ideas, but I haven't pinpointed the ancestor yet.

Okay, it worked on my phone. Guess I just have no patience for it to load. For my dad's side, everyone but his grandfather was English or Irish or Scottish...I wonder why it seems German is more prevalent. His grandmother was descended from French Hugenots...but they came over 400 years or more ago, and mixed with English...I thought. His mom was 1/4 Scottish, 1/4 Irish and the rest English...going back to Ireland/Scotland quickly but Colonial elsewhere...I know they moved a lot, but it seems others with full or dominant English/Irish are matching those populations much more.
