If european's and asian's came from Africa, then wouldn't Euro's and Asian's not be a race either? Wouldn't they just be the same as a Mestizo?

Asking where "most of them come from" means you're trying to lump them all together and ignore the variety in the population. Mexico has a lot more diversity than you think. If you can identify someone as "typically Mexican" in looks, you are probably missing a lot of other Mexicans who do not look like that.

Google is your friend:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demogr...#Ethnic_groups

Also remember that the Southwest US from California to Texas was once part of Mexico, and the descendants of that Mexican population are still here.

Of course they have a variety in the population. That doesn't change the fact that most Mexicans look like a combination of European and Native American which most are. There's no evil in that, it's just a fact. I live in CA and there are people here who's parents immigrated from Mexico and look European white. The majority look like a mixture of Native and White. Some look almost all Native. So, what's the big deal about what a population overall looks like. The vast majority of Mexicans are indeed a combination of White and Native American. What's wrong with just admitting that?

only for 27 years, Spain controlled the Southwest far longer, the descendants of the very few Spanish people who lived in the Southwest are mostly clustered in New Mexico. The majority of that population in the southwest were native americans.

a typical Mexican= Native American. the similarities are so great. The typical short stocky, sun tanned Mexican , with dark hair, is a real representation. Like Peru, Ecuador, etc., the people hold indigenous features , that distinguish them from the mixing of blood.

On TV, its all white washed, even in Mexico, to appeal to the viewer. Even in the Novelas. Mexico is just as advanced as the USof A in music/film/arts. But still, to keep up with their neighbors, Its going to be the white skin that is up on stage.

Why on Earth would anyone think 'Mexican' is a race?

Do you think 'Polish' or 'Iraqi' or 'Canadian' are races?

Spoiler
They're not.

The Mexicans in NYC that you see are more indigenous than the average Mexican in Mexico
