I'd go with FTDNA because at some point if they want to do mtDNA she won't have to do it again. I did ancestry with my 80 year uncle but also got him a Y-DNA test at FTDNA.
Both my heritage and FTDNA give free uploads. I'd rather they see if she could get enough saliva to test with ancestry because they do not offer uploads
