@Mistermobile...true about pursuing a "legal remedy" if your information gets out there even if you "opted out". The costs would be "out of this world" to even try to go after the agencies you mentioned!!
You are getting good advice, take the ethnicity test with the grain of salt and be sure to read up and/or ask questions here or on other boards to learn more about the process.

In my experience both the accuracy and the value of the ethnicity portions of the test decrease with the amount of admix in the individual. In other words.........if all of your ancestors are from one genetic region, these tests can be quiet accurate and insightful. If you have ancestors from lots of different genetic regions, the ethnicity tests can struggle to sort it all out.

Family Tree DNA offers free uploads for family matching, they give X-matches. To get myOrigins (ethnicity), ancientOrigins and Chromosome Browser it will cost $19. They do not offer an app and their site is pretty antiquated. They do support family trees but not like Ancestry or My Heritage, it's mostly to link known DNA relationships. If you get into testing other people, you can't upload them to one profile, they all can get uploaded to one email with the same password, they will give you a user number you have to track.

My Heritage is the way to go.

Default Just Got 23andme Results...

Mom is Polish and Dad Mixed European...

European 99.8% (Breakdown as follows below)

Eastern European 50.4% (Poland High Likely Match, Russia Less Likely)
British & Irish 21.6% (England Likely, Ireland Less Likely)
French & German 16.7% (Germany Likely, France Less Likely)
Italian 2.0%
Spanish & Portuguese 1.2%
Scandinavian 0.2%
Broadly Northwestern European 5.3%
Broadly European 2.2%
Broadly Southern European 0.2%
Sub-Saharan African 0.1%
Unassigned 0.1%
______

Total 100%

Neanderthal DNA is less than 4%...less than 83% of 23andme customers whatever that means lol!

So no real suprises on there-thought I was mostly Polish (moms side), and English/German (dads side).

90% Basically what I thought with the last 10% "other" Euro with 0.1% Sub-Saharan African.

Amazing what they can find from spitting in a tube!!
