Birdie's parents are Marshall M. (1856-1923) & Anna Short Atwell (1852-1945). I have more on Marshall's family but not Anna's.

Hello to all of you posting about Edgells. Susan Morris married your John Edgell. Susan Morris Parents were Abraham and Nancy Fletcher Morris. Keener was one of their children. I am not related to Edgells but I am related to the Morris Line.Abraham Morris and Nancy Fletcher were Married in Monongalia County, Va/WV October 6, 1829. By 1850 census they lived in Ritchie County,WV I have a marriage date for John and Susan Morris Edgell for December 18,1850. Abraham and Nancy Fletcher Morris had six daughters.
Abraham Morris died about 1858.
I found John and Susan Morris Edgell on the 1860 and 1870 Ritchie co WV census, and 1900 Tyler County Census. I don't have the 1880 census so am not sure which county they were in. I think Nancy Fletcher Morris was in Tyler county WV after Abraham Morris's death in 1858. I do know more about the Morris line Fletchers and a little more on all but two of their daughters. The daughters named Lettie and Louisa I haven't been able to find out anything about them other than they are listed on the 1850 Ritchie county Census.
