I'm moving into a new apartment, my lease starts the 15th, they did a few things (some work) the past few weeks that we were told about. We have got the keys and on the 14th we are going to clean and get a couch delivered but I want to start bringing things in. My fiance went to check on the work and there some equipment there that we need to leave the door open for the workers to go back in and get their stuff. Obviously, after I move things in Ia m going to lock my door but I hope they are working on it right now, tonight, as we speak and get their stuff out because come the 15th I'm not leaving my door open anymore.
My question is, do you think it would be safe to leave some things there the night before lease officially starts? Or would it be best to wait?
