I know that most of the people on this forum are moving TO Raleigh, but I am hoping that those who have moved FROM Raleigh might be able to recommend a long distance mover.

I am planning to move from Raleigh to central NJ. Thank you in advance for any recommendations.

Just forget the web. These brokers will fleece you.

Look at the AMSA website (American Moving & Storage Assn).

Only get a GUARANTEED estimate.

Make sure you purchase full value insurance.

Be sure to sign the inventory only after verifying items & damage.

Watch out for really low bidders.

Check out rainbow movers, they are in MA, cape Cod, and one other place. They are with one of the bigger van lines. I and my neighbor both had them. She went to MD, me to Florida. They were great. o.k. 508-771-6981. I never moved b4, had 2 dogs, and left in a blizzard! I do think they must do this moving lots! This one driver, came with a shovel, to, help me. he also, was so nice here
came, when he said, called b4, I was at a hotel, with 2 dogs. Grateful I was! even a co-worker a double move, could not get them. She was here, with me in a daze, and said she could not belive, how nice they were. Then said, she could not get them.
If you deal with a name company, it should work, one driver drives, and then has a helper in the state. I also heard get 3 quotes.
