I'll be relocating from Dallas to Seattle at the end of July & was wondering if anyone had any ideas of:
-good reliable moving companies
-auto transport companies
-& what the avg. cost of shipping a car from Dallas to Seattle is?

Thanks for all your help.

at mid summer...
I'd try real hard to use the $1000 or so a responsible car transporter charges to justify a road trip.
That would also coordinate well with the longer time a mover will need to get there.

As to the mover... any of the major interstate operators should be fine.

The cost to transport your auto will depend on the model, size/profile of the vehicle, the type of service you want to pay for (door-to-door, dock-to-dock, etc); the amount of insurance you purchase, and the schedule you negotiate.

Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) is a licensed motor carrier (USDOT #: 517538), property broker (MC #: 491106), and freight forwarder (FF #: 5108) located right in Dallas that has been providing domestic and international vehicle transportation services to the public since 1954. They have one of the largest POV car-carrier fleets in the country.

There a plenty of good movers in the DFW market - and also plenty of scammers. Find a Reputable Mover: A Professional Guide | RELO Roundtable...a gathering place

Confirm your arrangements early! A lot of companies have already started to issue booking restrictions this summer because of reduced driver and equipment capacity throughout the entire moving industry. http://reloroundtable.com/blog/news/...ings-for-june/
