I don't like airing my laundry but I'm really at a loss as to what to do. Need sound practical advice. My wife and I are divorcing and her lawyer has petitioned the court to give her the house. Needless to say since I live in a nanny state it was granted and I am being kicked out of my own house. Ordered to leave. I don't have a problem with that except that a while back I had a streak of bad luck and got a few minor traffic tickets. I then got really sick and spent ten days in the hospital. Didn't pay the tickets so they suspended my license. To make matters worse they turned them over to the most evil collectors AllianceOne who then added 5 times the original ticket to the cost. So now they won't let me pay for the tickets until I pay all the medical I owe. Long story short...I can't clear this up in time. So I have to move but have no license or insurance so I would have to do it illegally. I so want to leave the state but understand that now these things follow you. Any suggestions?

Best advise for you is to talk to either legal aid or your divorce attorney. You shouldn't depend on advise off of a public forum that doesn't know all the details. Contact an attorney and good luck!

Legal Aid maybe? I would definitely work on paying those tickets and whatever related fees.

You do NOT want to drive w/a suspended license as it will make your situation worse!!!!

Good luck!
