I hate packing/unpacking

I hate sorting what stays and what goes

I love the drive and seeing new places

I love staying in hotels in different cities

I hate the traffic on the freeways and the bad drivers

I love moving in to a new place in a new (to me) city

The prettiest sight I ever saw was Phoenix in my rear view mirror. No regrets about leaving that place but it was a lot of work to get to that point.

Moving is a way of shedding the past and going forward to something better.

The holidays are a wonderful and magical time. It is also a very hectic time; we are doing everything from hosting holiday parties to buying gifts for our family and friends. Luckily this article will help you combine two of your to do list items.

If you are moving during the holidays you know that the holidays are even more hectic than regularly. If you are thinking about skipping your holiday cards this year - please continue reading this article. Why not let your family and friends receive holiday wishes and a change of address notification at the same time? This is a great way to keep your holiday traditions and notify your family and friends of your new address.

Try to eat all the food in your pantry. This will free up space for other things when packing and also save on boxes.

Buy your presents online and ship them to you new address or pack them with your belongings. Make sure to keep them away from prying eyes.

Keep the holiday decorations so you can easily access them. This way you can put them up in your new home right away. It is important to try and make your new home as decorative as you can so it will help ease the transition of your move (especially for the kids).

Try to take some stuff out and see if you notice that it is gone. If you don't then it wasn't as special as you thought - love this and even did it with a 2nd car I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep or not!

Yeah, we are moving out of our house. Tonight will be the last trip. It will be Bitter-sweet. I have funded the local thrift store with 5+ truck loads of good stuff. I am a recovering hoarder !! We do not have a new house yet. Needed the profit to start to build a modest house. So we will be living with son, my parents, sister-in-law. Wife is relocating to the new area. I will commute on weekends to see her & progress on the house
