If you are flying across country, you will have to decide what cars are worth shipping. It will cost you about $1200 each, I think. If you are using a mover ask for a reference to a good car shipper. If you mover can facilitate everything, consider that a good option. When we interviewed movers, we asked about shipping our second car. Each one had a rec, and I believe we contacted several. We chose the mover that made this the easiest. If you are choosing strictly for value, then make sure you understand the procedures. They may not be convenient.

Whether you drive or fly, you should decide if the car(s) you have is/are worth shipping. If the value(s) are such that it isn't cost effective to ship, then sell the car or cars, and plan on replacing when you get to your destination.

If you are driving a truck, you can tow at least one car.

If you have at least 2 drivers, are using rental truck for furniture etc, and 1 car can be equipped with a rental tow bar, then tow 1 car with truck, then tow 2nd car with 3rd using a tow bar. Otherwise do what newred5 said

How much the vehicles are worth is important.
Better check Florida, and more specifically Dade County, fees for "initial application" if you intend to register your vehicles in Florida.
It may be hundreds of dollars.
Maybe check the fines for not doing so,too

Why are you flying when you have 3 cars? If money is tight and you have three cars to move, shouldn't someone driving had been a consideration during the planning stages? Anyway, when you say "money is tight" are you saying you have enough to ship 1 or 2 but not all 3?

If you decide to ship, get several estimates. Last year we shipped a CRV from Northern NJ to Central FLA. The estimates ranged from $617 to $1100 for the exact same service (door to door pickup and delivery on an open truck).

One mistake I made was leaving the EZ pass installed. I was charged for each toll the truck went through. EZ pass would not refund the tolls unless I could provide the receipts from the truck.
