I really doubt the rent average for DC....only a $8.00 difference between a one and two bedroom.

Congrats on your move and hope your home sells ASAP!

Get ready for that Phoenix heat!!

Have you seen this funny "diary" about moving to Arizona, yet?

Would be transferring with my current company....Would not relocate unless job was in hand.......I may act a little crazy every now then...but this chick has common sense.

We just relocated from Phoenix, AZ (after being there since the mid 1980's) to Raleigh, NC.

How do you like Raleigh so far....I absolutely love Phoenix. I fly there ever so often with my job....It's just so different than Raleigh...I guess that's why I like it, the sunsets, desert landscaping, short drive times to other major cities....I mean whats not to love.

wcbabe, I hope your home sells in late summer so you can put off the move until the fall/winter. Summer isn't a good time to move to PHX. I know you know that May-Aug it's hotter than you know where.

But the desert can work it's magic on those that appreciate it!

My city is #6 on that list...I really wish people would stop moving here.
