Indianapolis has the wonderful grid system so traffic for a city of 2M people is lighter than you would see in other similar sized/bigger cities.
2nd it also makes finding your way around easier

Also when you do decide to visit dont forget to come sometime during may for the Indy 500. it sure is an experience haha.

its an average.
Some have more.
Some have less.
Butler-Tarkington is an example of a very diverse neighborhood with blacks/whites/hispanics living on the same block.
Indianapolis also was the ONLY major US city that DID NOT riot during the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.
Meridian Kesslar is a nice upper middle class historic neighborhood on the north side of Indy.
