Default Good one-way rental car services

Anyone have any recommendations for a cheap rental car company that offers one-way rentals? I'm moving from Virginia to New York and just need a simple car or preferably an SUV, hopefully for cheap that I can drop off up in New York. Any one company cheaper than others? Do places charge by the day or be the mile anyways? I've never rented a car before.

I rented from Enterprise many times to drive from NY to NC, but you will have to see if they do one way rentals, I don't see why not?
