moving back to the NE of England. We won't be shipping any furniture and the largest piece we'll ship is a bicycle. I think we'll have around 200cu ft.
When we moved here we used a company and wasn't happy with them. Whilst we understood that because we were sharing a container it would take longer, our possessions left our home in the UK in July and didn't get to us until Feb the following year. They sat in storage at the docks in England until January!
The company never had any straight answers for us -think they'd forgotten about our consignment.
It cost us around $2000, but have no idea how that compares to what it might cost going the opposite way.
Whilst we are happy to wait maybe 3 months for our things, as we don't have accommodation sorted (will be staying with family for a month or so) -I definitely don't want to wait 7-8 months again.

Any names of international movers that are maybe based in NC?

Thanks!

All of the major carriers, can arrange International Shipping. United Van Lines, Allied, Mayflower, Atlas, Bekins, North American. They all have relationships with oversea companies. Most of them have office in the UK that are company run offices, you can be confident that they can get your shipment there in 4 to 10 weeks
