It's a nice, warm sunny day so I'm working outside today to get the yard in some shape for selling.

Didn't get into the attic, all that snow is sliding off of the roof so I'm out shoveling and trying to break up the ice in front of the shed so I can get a load of oil this week. Tomorrow's high?

Find Sams, Lowes, Home Depot. Having shopped at both Publix and Wal-Mart, for basic shopping, Wal-mart will save you big bucks. For specialty items, Publix should have you covered.

I hear ya, CC - we hit the mid 60's today but we're expecting 1-3 inches of snow tomorrow night.

Seems like this winter is bi-polar.

cmjones311 I love that idea!

I am trying to rent a house right now in North Carolina, from Oregon. My son will also be applying for K during the year we rent, so understanding the schools etc on the far end is part of the process, along with where we want to live.

I was thinking proximity to parks, major highways, the preschool we've already selected (this was the accomplishment this week), my husband's job. We tend to make a day of going grocery shopping with the kids so I don't mind driving a bit to get there. We live next to a grocery store now and never go there - always drive to the one we like better 15 minutes away - but that park and daycare we live next to now - amazing!

I made one first guess at location and then read up on it... it's right in the flight path for a major airport and NOISY! Oops, starting over. So hard to research these things form far away. can you imagine doing a move like this before the internet was available!? Awful!

LOL KabO bi polar winter, too funny. Of course it's only funny 'cause it's true

At least the forecast was wrong, it only got down to 10F, not the -1 predicted, and we hit a high of 28F, not 15F.

Didn't get to the attic, just getting up to the barn with alln of the ice we have was an adventure to say the least. Thankfully I still have some sand left.

So I scheduled some old unsold ebay things to go off tonight.

Thanks for the reminder about the space bags! I was going to get some and forgot.
How do the professional movers feel about those bags for clothes? I was thinking of packing a lot of clothes in those! Or did you move yourself?

We had a potential buyer come by the house today with a kitchen design person. Hoping to sell FSBO without a lot of fuss. Today was spent getting the house "show ready", taking donations to the library and church store, and some outside work.

We are getting there - first part of the move is taking the dining room suite 1,000 miles to the kids to keep it in the family. That will occur in early April.

Well, things are looking up. Supposed to close on the new FL home next week, got final loan approval, now title co has to scramble to put things together. But on this front in Texas, home across the street went on market, had two potential buyers show when listing agent came with sign, went under contract that weekend (bid war). Another home sold in just a few days, offered by the owner, no agent involved. So, we have to get it together, get moved so we can get this one sold during the selling season.
