I feel like I'm reading about my life. We are also moving to our lake house! I know exactly what you are saying about furniture for the same reason. I have family antiques that are moving, some into storage for now but most furniture is not going. I finally figured out this morning there isn't any reason to move or change out our queen bed mattresses. I do want/need to replace our master bedroom furniture at the lake but there's no huge hurry on that. Want to get rid of the platform bed and definitely need a bigger dresser. Until it happens, I'll live out if temporary boxes.

Kab0 - better than replacing a furnace.

We had the carpet cleaners out yesterday afternoon. Woke up this morning to the home smelling like a cross between a wet dog and a chain smoker - residue from the carpet cleaning. ARRGGHHH. Getting them back out to do it over. But it cost me a possible sale due to the odor already. UGH>

Finished packing the container. They pick up today and it is on it's way to the new house. 10 days of transit which works out great since we won't be leaving for another couple days.

Kab0, eill the warranty cover the repair?

Ohky, congratulations!!!!!

Ugh, Restrain, nothing worse that a carpet cleaning gone wrong, that sucks about losing a potential sale.

OMG I just looked up at the mantle and see that my new cat knocked over a vase, WTH is he doing up there? I guess leaving that big box on the chair is not a good idea LOL.

Cats. I've lost a couple nice vases to ours.

I got the a.c. fixed. $340 but it really needed to be done.

This is a fairly rare Fenton milk glass handkerchief vase, one of a pair. I moved the boxes so the launching pad is a lot lower.

Kab0, canyou turn the expense in to the warranty company?
