Had the painter in yesterday to get me a head start on the worst rooms. Tomorrow it is dealing with the insurance adjuster for the house damage (3 hail storms in 3 hours hit the area). Dealt with the cars today. An afternoon in insurance adjustment tents.

Tomorrow we start on crown moldings again. Just a lot of work getting the house ready for sale, especially when having to deal with all these unexpected issues.

We close on our new house May 19.

I have gone through all the closets and cabinets in every room, and most of the drawers and furniture as well. I GOT RADICAL and gave a TON of stuff away. This was last week.

Last week I also went through the pantry with a fine tooth comb. I am determined to eat most of what's in our house between now and then, so some meals may get weird!

I had already organized my spices a few months ago so that's all good.

Today I went through the closets and threw away all the wire hangers - since I got rid of so many clothes it was easy to hang them all on better hangers.

Making progress!

Took down and packed the last of the family photos off the wall.

Kinda makes me sad.

Sunday I took five boxes of stuff to my consignment gal, haven't seen her since last fall. She gave me 95 dollars for the last load!

Kab0, sorry you're feeling sad.

Restrain, when it rains it pours, doesn't it! I hope the claims go smooth.

Kathryn, how far is the new place?

Today I have to clean and get ready for my mothers arrival this weekend. We learned yesterday her sister passed, so sad. We are adopting her cat.

Just packed two boxes, that's it. Came down sick on Sunday and I am moving next week. Rotten timing.

CCc - I took another load of books to the bookstore and got $65 for it - it's kinda nice to get some cash.

On a side note - normal people have on their calendar things like 'date with Sue' or 'girls night out' - I have 'free trash day' and 'document shred day'...

lol

Kab0 your calendar is too funny! Nice hit with the books!

Yesterday I organized and cleaned the living room which looked like a pack and ship center, boxes and packing stuff all over.

Then, of course, Mom informs me that the BF is tagging along and she won't be staying with us.

Well, it had to be done at some point

Elle, They help out quite a bit. Get the cube for blankets, bed spreads, towels, etc. We moved into my parents' house when my dad went to assisted living, leaving quite a bit of his stuff, including clothes here so we still have things we don't need quite often still packed up in space bags. We've been here 2 years and still packed tight.

CCgirl, hang in there. This too shall pass. You know, when you get everything organized, you can come help. House is a disaster! LOL

TX08, good luck with the move. Hope you get better.

We took three stacks of books to the used book store, $150 richer. Woohoo.
