If you try to get a UPS mailbox out of state, do you need any proof of in-state residence, or is that just with USPS?

Short answer: you can use an out of state address. Longer answer is at the bottom.

Required Forms To Open a Mailbox
1. Valid driver's license/ ID Card.
2. And one of the following with a matching address:
• Armed forces, government, university,
• or recognized corporate identification card.
• Passport, alien registration card, Current lease, mortgage, or deed of trust.
• Voter or vehicle registration card.
• Home or vehicle insurance policy.
• **** Social Security cards or credit cards and birth certificates are unacceptable as identification****.

If the documents do not match then a 3rd document is needed. That can be from a governmental entity or recognized financial institution or a utility bill with the applicant's name and current permanent address may be used for such purpose.

4. Both Forms must be either brought into the store, mailed or faxed to us with copies of the required ID's. If you cannot come into the store the 1583 must be notarized by someone.

For out of State customers we will be glad to open a mailbox over the phone. If you need your mail forwarded to you we can set that up also.
