Hi Forumsters!
I have a question, I"m thinking of moving from California to NY. I want to load all my stuff on a tow trailer, and then tow it using my pick up truck. I can't find any one way trailer rental company other than U-HAUL.
Can I have some info on any other company that does the same? I checked Penske, Ryder and Budget... but they all seem to rent only trucks, nobody rents moving trailers.

Maybe you can buy one off of craigslist if you think you might use it again. Probably a better deal than renting.
Not really :-( No enclosed trailers for sale in the area I live, and everything for way more than double the price of the rental. I just want to know if there are any better alternatives than going with U-Haul
Hi,
I'm also looking for the same thing as you are, and U-Haul is the only one I can come up with. Mine turns out to be close to 340 bucks, which makes me question if I should put in another 150 and get a truck instead.
UHaul is the ONLY national one-way trailer rental, and they will not rent to a driver of an Explorer due to liabilities out of the roll-overs and Firestone tire problems. Their policy.
Suggest a Penske truck and pull the car on a trailer, this they will rent one-way with a truck.
