Hey Everyone,

I'm looking for ideas how to get boxes from CT to AZ, when I got out of the Marine Corps I moved back home to CT and recently moved out to AZ. I sold all my furniture except my dining room table and its 8 chairs. The rest of my things are just boxes mostly clothes and kitchen items. Not much at all, was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to get the stuff here without spending an arm and a leg since it really isn't that much.

I have until summer to figure it out but any help I can get would be appreciated

Your best bet is to either rent a u-haul and drive it there, pulling a vehicle behind the truck or you can rent a container or two from AFB U-pack and have it shipped there. You can get a price quote from both companies.

I would sell the furniture and drive the boxes, but you seem to already be in AZ, so maybe mail the boxes.

Depends on how many boxes. My son shipped 14 boxes from Seattle to Dallas, cheapest was Greyhound. Sell the table, ship the boxes. Pods can be the most expensive.

You may want to try by train, Amtrak Express. Or at least get a quote if they service from CT to AZ (not sure on this - only that the rates seem cheap).

Have not done this but according to How Much Does It Cost To Send a Package - CostHowMuch.com is inexpensive compared with other options. You may want to sell the dining room set/chairs as this could be a sticking point between other carriers as well.

I mention this since you seem to not be driving the distance, by the original post. Someone to send off for you in CT sounds ideal if you can swing it.
