Approx 2000 mi with a moving truck and somehow 3 dogs...2 of which don't get along and would have to be separated. Wouldn't feel comfortable taking them on plane as they are large breed and are older so they'd need to be tended to...
Agree, you'll have to crate them. If they won't fit in your vehicle then I guess you could ship your vehicle and rent something that would accommodate the crates.

Since it's such a far distance I was planning on doing everything in one shot, driving the moving truck with the car in tow...
Makes sense but I don't see a way to do it without separate cars, flying at least one or crating if two don't get along.
Is there such a think as an extended cab moving truck? If so it may be big enough for a crate or two. Honestly, unless they all have excellent obedience, I think crates would be safest for them regardless of how well they get along. With crates there's no chance of them slipping out when you get gas or are at a rest stop (I'm sure you'll be very careful but sometimes accidents happen). Crates would also be very helpful if, heaven forbid, there's car trouble or if they become anxious or upset during some part of the trip. Since you'll be by yourself, you'll want to minimize distractions. If they've never been crate trained they will need to get accustomed to the crates well in advance of the trip by crating them for short periods and increasing the time to a few hours.
Hopefully you'll find a solution.
