In my honest opinion I think you shouldn't take the freezer at all and maybe buy another one when you get to where you are going and go without the beef for a couple of months until you can find a decent farmer and a freezer . Donate the beef to a shelter and move on .
LOL I don't know which is funnier, suggesting they donate a bunch of high dollar beef to a shelter, or the insistence that only grass fed beef is the best.
You can buy grass bed beef temporarily at the grocery store. They all seem to carry it now. It would be more expensive per pound than buying in bulk. but at least you wouldn't risk loosing it all. Then find a new source after you get settled. That's what I would do anyway.

wow just wow people really are ignorant and abusive behind a computer screen aren't they ?
I don't think I'd attempt to move a freezer full of anything. It's heavy enough as it is, without loading it full of perishables and the hassle of dry ice. That being said, if you're set on bringing some of the meat with you, get the dry ice, pack it in small coolers and take it in your car so you can replenish the ice each day. You can get meat at grocery stores or butchers until you find a new supplier.
