I am a travel nurse. Was talking to my co-workers in NC about best places around the US live and work: pay, decent treatment, promotion and so on.

I started my nursing career in Ft. Lauderdale-and so far, I'll vouch that it was absolutely the worst conditions I've ever seen anywhere: disrespect from incompetent managers, constant understaffing issues, nasty co-workers-backstabbers, low job availability despite of high elder population and so on.

A new nurse came from Portland, OR and said the the job situation there was the best she has ever seen.

I'd love to hear from others all over the US and see what it is like where you are at! Maybe someday I'll end up in your area
