TNT auto transport moved my Torino from Georgia to Seattle. I think it ran me around $2400, about a year and a half ago. I was moving alone. Took my Honda with me -behind the Uhaul, and let them move the muscle car. I got the enclosed carrier for it, so it was more expensive.

I don't work for them. But I've used them twice - 10 years in between - and they didn't mess up my Torino.

We have a car, truck and motorcycle. We'll also be using a moving truck.
Our car is already in NM. My s/o will drive the moving truck and I'll drive the other truck withe the motorcycle trailored. That's our plans anyway.

I have purchased a classic pick-up truck in Indiana and had it shipped out to California. It took about 2 weeks to get here and it cost about $800. But they were very reputable and took good care of the car!
If you're interested I can PM you the name of the company (they are nationwide).
You might want to ask around in the state you're in, in a thread on here, and ask if anyone has a reference in your area for a transport company.

Unless your wife wants to drive your work van & tow 1 car. While you drive the moving truck & tow the 2nd car. I would say to look around & ask a friend to drive 1 down (or up) for you.

Another thing, I have heard that airport security really gives people with 1way tickets a hard time. Again that's just what i have heard, I don't know from expreience.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

My wife wants nothing to do with driving a vehicle with anything in tow. Besides, we have 2 kids also, so her car (suv) would have to be driven. So far we have narrowed it down to two options. I drive out first, and fly back, or we sell my car. I mean, its only a car.... right?

I am pretty attached to it. I have had it for 10 years, and I just rebuilt the engine. Thats what makes me contemplate going through the effort of keeping it.

I have about 2 months left to decide.............
