Going to rent a 22' Penske truck for my move. What type rope (braided poly or cotton etc), size (diameter), Strength (28,64 lbs) and how much will I need for tie downs?

Truck will not be completely full, most of our boxes have already gone to the new home 600 miles away. Moving a master bdrm, living room and dining room, garage, lots of plants, grill, mower.

Thanks

I got a roll of stretch wrap to use on wood furniture to keep drawers and doors shut and protect the finish. Cover with a sheet or padding and wrap. $15 for a 1500' roll.
We also like to use poly strapping to tie things down. It's almost impossible to break, comes in a 1500' roll and can be used later for anything from a clothesline to staking out trees. Great stuff.

Be careful. You are not supposed to use stretch wrap directly on wooden furniture. It could warp it.

You might want to consider sheets of plywood across the load to help stabilize the load, especially if you are not fully loaded.

I'm partial to ratchet straps. I always find a use for them, lose them, loan them out (never to be seen again), etc. You can always sell them, too.
