Pretty soon I'll be moving out of my parents' home in Jackson, the state Capitol, and will be going out on my own to: Find a job, find a home where I can be centrally located in relation to other places, and start to make friends in a new community.
The town is in north-central Mississippi.
I have the job part and the home part down,
now I'm asking y'all what I should do, when I do actually move to the town, when I will try to make friends.
Any suggestions would be helpful, but please don't be rude to me, or else I won't respond to your comments.
Okay, if you are from jackson then you know small towns are notorious for their avoidance of outsiders. I think the first thing is ask your coworkers about your local churches. I am from the south so I know you could throw a rock and hit 8 churches. From there, I would start looking at the local work out fitness centers. These would be good starts for you. Good luck. I am also moving back home after being gone for over 10 years.
