Lightbulb Re: Moving to Dana Point Area

Aloha!

I've lived on Maui for the last 18 years and absolutely love it. My husband and I have decent jobs in the hospitality industy and our household income is roughly $85K. We pay about $3,000 mo. rent and the cost of living is extremely high so we're literally beginning to sink under the presssure. We didn't buy when we should have and real estate in unattainable at best. We are looking to transfer to the Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis properties in the Dana Point area. Does anyone know if there are any nice, safe, reasonably affordable areas in proximity with decent schools for our 3 children? Thanks, in advance, for any advice you can lend.

We are relocating from North OC to South OC and it appears the 'best' schools of Dana Point are actually in Laguna Niguel if you go by scores alone. Schools appear to be impacted by ESL programs. I think it depends on important diversity it to you and your family as well as some schools are fairly homogenous and others not.
