I have moved around of my life so I know pretty much how to find a place and what to do. However, this next move will hopefully be my last so I want to make the best decision I can. I am disabled so I need a place that has low rent, or at least affordable houses to buy (under $700 a mo. for a 2 bedroom or under $100,000 to buy), I need a good variety of medical help so I need a place that has not only hospitals but a variety of specialists, I also need a place that I can get medicaid on top of medicare (I have medicare and medi-cal right now), and to top it off I would like there to be lots of work so my son and his family could move there also. I know how to search for places to live but not sure how to search for places that I would qualify for medicaid. Does anyone know how I could research that? Or does anyone know of places to live that have all of the above? I live in California now which is the second highest tax bracket so I think that is why I get all of my medical covered. So that might be a part of it.

Right here in Winston-Salem NC.
Well, you'll have to do your own Medicaid research.
If you needed to EARN a living (not mentioned) I might suggest else wise.

Wake Forest Hospital (a med school) and Novant Health have pretty
much every sort of medical specialty covered and rather well too.

And you can **probably** still get a OK enough small house for under $100K.
Up the budget just a bit more and you'll have a LOT of choices.

The $700 rent will go pretty far as well.

North Carolina did NOT expand Medicaid. Would not work for you.

Check this list for the states that did:

Consider staying in CA. Sacramento? Here's some spots:

Correct. NC did not EXPAND Medicaid (wrt ACA etc).

But NC does have (always has had) a Medicaid program.
Take a few minutes to explore where the foul lines really are.
Especially in your own particular set of circumstances.
