Are you more of a mountain or ocean person? And what are your favorite mountain towns and ocean towns to live in? Why?

I lived in the Snowy Mts. of Montana for a year and loved it. Also the Sierras in CA and OR.

But now I'm done with snow so since we couldn't afford SoCal where I grew up, we're on the coast of So. America...

What do you prefer, NYnomore?

Hi OP,
I am more of an ocean person. My favorite mountain town is Ruidoso, New Mexico because there are lots of Texans there and I have always liked the area.My favorite ocean towns are Corpus,Port Aransas, and Rockport on the Texas coast.I like it because my family has been going there for decades.I also like Corpus because of the oil and gas industry there. The Texas coast also has a lower cost of living than Southern California.I also like the fishing and beaches in the Corpus/Port A/Rockport areas.

Neither! I especially hate mountains and mountain road driving. I like wide open spacious flat land and forests without impediments like mountains. Oceans are ok. The Pacific Ocean moderates the west coast climate but I am still looking forward to leaving California.

Why not both? Love it here in the Pacific Northwest.

I was miserable in Ohio before this. Bitter cold with no mountains to ski in winter and unbearably humid and hot in the summer with no beach.
