Hi Everyone!

I currently live in Gilbert, AZ (85233) and my husband needs help to move a 4 bedroom/2 bath - 1750 sq ft home from Lake Elsinore, CA (92530) to here. He was going to use 26 foot U-Haul, hire 2 moving crews and tow his car for $2000, but he's getting too tired and stressed out. The house is pretty much packed up and stored in the garage. We have decluttered and gotten rid of nearly all the furniture as well. He just needs help and fast. Escrow closes on Friday, December 15th and he has to be out of the house by Monday, December 18th by 6 pm.

Question...would it be easier and/or cheaper to hire movers in CA to move our stuff then return home to CA or hire movers in AZ to drive to pick up our stuff then return here to drop it off?

Pack a POD(s), and they'll deliver it for you.

I second using a container company like PODS, PackRat, etc. Hire local loaders in CA to pack the container and local loaders in AZ to unpack. These container companies usually have insured crews they work with and can recommend. However, with the short deadlines, you had better be on the phone ASAP setting up the drop-off and pick-up in CA especially if you also need a loading crew. Delivery is not an issue since you can have the actual delivery delayed to suit your need.
