We have downsized quite a bit, but wondering how many hanging clothes/wardrobe boxes we will need for one walk-in closet (it is not a large walk-in) and one coat closet. My estimate is about 3 of the following:

- Larger Wardrobe Moving Boxes
- 24" x 24" x 40" (60% More Space)
- ECT 44 Heavy Duty Boxes
- Metal Hanging Bars Included

We probably have more hanging that what those three will hold but a lot of it can be folded and boxed I would think.

I was just curious how many others used or needed. We are a retired couple so nearly all of it would be casual clothes.

Put as much as you can in suitcases - if they are casual clothes that makes the most sense. When my husband and I moved from an apartment to a house we had one wardrobe box.

If you don't care if your clothes get a little wrinkled, I read this tip online: Leave the clothes on their hangers, slip a large trash bag over the clothes leaving the top of the hangers out, close up the bag(s), and stuff those bags full of clothes into odd areas in the moving truck/cube as filler.
