In a year, I plan on moving with...my car, some clothes (2 suitcases) a laptop, and some CDs...that's it. Anyone else travel light when relocating?

I want to start over, so I am taking as few reminders of my old life as possible.

My wife's family had a line on a place in Arcadia... the place I rented tossed US out and changed the locks...threw all my stuff on the lawn. I paid for a storage unit for MOST of my things, and moved away with nothing more than a bag of clothes. Later, I fell behind on the storage payments, because making the rent every month was more important, so I lost everything in that unit.

So basically, yes, I moved with no more than a single bag of clothes.

I'm moving cross country for the second time in a year, and I have once again tossed my dresser, dining room table, computer desk end tables etc etc. The only things we have left are our bed, the garbage can, our computer 2 tv's and clothes and some dishes.. Thats it.. I love the moving cause you can clean house big time. Plus it means a smaller rental unit and smaller trailer to rent which = less money

Many, many years ago I moved all of my possessions (including three cats) from New York to Indiana -- in the back of my little Ford Pinto. (And, no, we didn't explode along the way ..... )

Moved overseas once and just took the clothes and toiletries I could fit into 2 suitcases and one carry-on. Several years later when I moved back, I shipped boxes of stuff ahead of myself. And, now that I have a house filled with furniture and things, well, shoot, I'd do it again. Stuff isn't that interesting.

I'm planning on moving over the summer, not taking anything except for my clothes, computer, and a few knick knacks here and there. But nothing major, no furniture or anything.

I'm moving across country next month, 1900 miles, and only bringing what fits in my car. I'm also not bringing any furniture or big things.. basically a few bags of clothes, my laptop, snowboard and boots. What more could you need?

Lol, yes, I did that too when I was younger.

I moved from Kansas to Nevada 2 years ago with 2 teens and what ever we could fit into the jeep with us.
