Hubby and I are planning a major move in a year or two. Neither of us drives, and we've had bad experiences with U-Haul, so we're thinking of using a "You Pack, We Ship" type of mover. We have a 1-bedroom apartment, so we don't need a lot of space. I like the idea of having 3 days to pack and not having to drive a big truck across multiple states.
Has anyone here used this type of mover? Got any tips, reccomendations, or horror stories?

I have priced out moving several different ways. One of the things I learned with the "pack, move" shipping companies is that you receive an estimate based on your description of items; they then estimate number of cargo lbs and give you a quote based on that weight.
If you look at the small(er) print of their agreements you can't hold them to the quote because the weight is an estimate. The cost for excess is exhorbitant.
I'll be watching to hear what others say, as like you, I'm on the move.
