How hard can that be for a child? Starting a new elementary school in the 4th grade in a brand new state must be challenging. Can anyone who has been there done that tell me how your kids were treated and how they adjusted?

Moved from Oregon to Illinois,,they did very well.Moved in the summer and had them enrolled in day time summer camps and joined the park pool so they met some kids before school started.Teachers were great about making sure the kids had a smooth transition.
