I went through some stuff and threw away two bag fulls of stuff! I also am setting things aside for a possible Garage sale or Goodwill donation (still deciding if I should have a yard sale or not.) I decided what's going to stay in California while I move. I'll be leaving it with some friends while I get settled in and then I'll send for it.
We close on the new house today! So far this morning...all the bookshelves are emptied, all the linen closets are emptied and our good china and wine glasses have been bubble wrapped, boxed and labeled. Still have all the art work to take down and electronics to disconnect today.
DH says that he's afraid to sit in one place too long for fear that he'll end up boxed and labeled too!
OK...now we are making progress. Donation truck is on the way for the furniture we are donating, I've set up all the utilities at the new house and once the donation truck leaves first load that we are moving goes over!
Yesterday was stressful, but it all worked out. We moved out of the storage unit and garage in the morning. We were a bit worried looking at the U-Haul that all of our stuff would not fit into one ReloCube, but once we were done, we packed everything that was a must and had room left over for more. So my husband is going to go back on Monday and pack the optional items to fill it up.
Now we just need to sell what is left, take my car in for the belts to be tightened and turn the rotors, and run down the rest of the time left. Eek, less than a week left now to get it all done.
my move has been pushed back to May/June instead of April/May. I'm still going to be moving though!
