The question was about which areas are most dominated by black immigrants.

Clearly the answer will be New York City and its suburbs, South and Central Florida, DC, and maybe Boston.

Elsewhere the dominant black populations are African American.

"the Gullah culture on the coast of South Carolina and Georgia"
The Gullah are not immigrants they are African Americans.

Also, as the largest black American ethnic group it shouldn't surprise many that our cultural practices dominate. But if you look hard enough you can probably find other black American ethnic touches in every city where multiple black populations exist(noticeably in food).

The thread title is a little different than what the OP actually asked. The title asks which parts of the US are "dominated" by African and Afro Caribbean influence but the OP went on just to ask if there were any enclaves and communities that even have a "tiny bit" of African and Afro Caribbean influence.

This can be confusing because some cities can have specific communities and sections that are African or Caribbean influenced by the city or metro as a whole can still be African-American dominant.

i.e. Atlanta is definitely African American dominated by influence, but I believe there are areas like Clarkston with foreign blacks.

Default Don't Look At GA!

I'm relocating to California and in the mist of selling my home in Marietta, GA I'm finding that racism is increasing in this area. The things that people say to other people is unbelievable (ignorant, inquisitive, and racist remarks), and now with the new "Guns Everywhere," law, every racist is carrying while finding stupid reasons to shoot people. Everyone says that the increase is due to many minorities coming to the area and bringing plenty of money. Jealousy is openly rampant in this area and it is often seen when a minority purchases an item or needs work done to their home. Minorities receive escalated price and a lot of nasty remarks!

If you are a single woman beware! Plenty of men in this area think the women are dumb, easy, or great to use until they find a better deal! Scary!

The Good Ol' Boys Keep this a secret and you don't find out until you arrive.

The AA and West Indian communities in NYC are almost completely intertwined, though. I don't meet too many black people in NYC or its suburbs who are fully AA.

There may be some, but you are right in that they are essentially intertwined.
