Large city for all three.

I just need a lot of people, lots of things around me, I need an airport with direct flights to everywhere.

I prefer to live, work, and play in a big city. However, if I can't afford to live in the big city, I prefer to work and play there, and just live outside the city.

I prefer small towns that are not far from mid-sized or large cities.

You asked about live, work, & play. It has to be a large city when it comes to amenities offered at the maximum level.

Working and playing I like suburbs outside of a large or medium city or an actual large or medium city because I like the amenities they offer. For living I like a suburb outside of a large or medium city.

I like small a city. When I want to play I enjoy a small village. I'm not too crazy about crowded areas.
