Sometimes (usually on my way back from the beach) , I think if i were to go back and start over again I should have settled in Greenville SC, because it is close to the mountains and that much closer to the beach. Plus I lovelovelove that waterfall in the middle of town. But I've driven around a bit and never saw a neighborhood that called out to me. From reading the sign, I think I would have wanted to live in the shanty mill town that was torn down to build the waterfall park!
Besides, 30+ years ago when I was starting out, Greenville was too country for me - now it seems too futuristic. Driving down I-65 at night with that wall of lit up office buildings reminds me of the space cities you see in scifi flicks.
I live just outside of Hilton Head S.C. and I really like it here, and I have lived in 20 different states. The only killer is the humidity, but that is what they made pools for.

Being in the Air Force I move often. Right now at the top of my list is Seattle, Couldn’t get enough of the place when I visited late last year. It met/exceeded all my expectations, from the city itself to the natural scenery. Also on my list would be my hometown of San Antonio.
I am happy with my job, I have a lot of family and friends here, I grew up here, and I love the city, so I don't plan on leaving New York anytime in the foreseeable future. If were to move somewhere though, the following are all cities that I think would be great to live in for various reasons:
Chicago
San Francisco
Boston
Los Angeles
Washington DC
Seattle
Philadelphia
Miami
Honolulu
Minneapolis
