this made no sense. you said they were raised to hate whites which is why they are seen as uncle toms?

if they were born to hate whites then how would they be classified as uncle toms? doesn't uncle tom means that you love white?

Woops! Actually it's probably still the fastest-growing African population in the U.S. and still the largest Somali community in the U.S. Anyone who is moving away simply because of weather is just not going to make it in this country, as Minneapolis was chosen as a destination city by the Fed because of its academic acalades. I live here and I've seen only growth, but maybe someday I'll meet an Atlantan who moved to MN and come to the realization that everyone is leaving Atlanta because it is too Southern.

Academic accolades...You fail to remember that Atlanta has the Atlanta University complex, with some of the brightest African-Americans past, present and future. Minneapolis does not have anything close.

Morehouse, Morris Brown, Clarke, and Spelman.

You are right, many many Somalis are enrolled at these schools, and some do not get along with true African-Americans. Somalis are considered Arabic.

I saw some article comparing somalis in Minnesota and Somalis in Sweden in 2008 ! Apparently, in 2008, only 20% of somalis residing in Sweden worked and only 64 small-businesses were run by somalis..In Minnesota 51% worked (it's not a great number from an US point of view, but compared to Sweden it's awesome) and 800 small-business were run by somalis.
So, Somalis aren't successful in Minnesota or USA compared to many other ethnicities (Indians, Nigerians, Koreans..) but they are the most successful somalis in the world. The US can be pretty proud about it.
