Many Germans are relatively more blonde compared to a few other White European groups.

Thats true, out of the big european countries germany is the blondest one, only smaller countries such a scandinavian ones and netherlands have consisntently more blondes than germany.

In conclusion its the areas of the US with higher germanic component as in Scandinavian, Dutch and German those who have more natural blondes.

Basically the Upper Midwest, consisting of Minnesota, Dakotas, Michigan and Wisconsin.

German, but my grandpa was also n. german and even had a little danish ancestry was dark complected and had black hair. So in my experience Germans are all over the board.
Don't get me wrong, iowa, wisconsin, South Dakota, Nebraska, Utah, and Kansas probably have a higher percentage than a lot of places, but the German thing doesn't mean blonde.
Western michigan is quite blonde too, specially among the people with dutch ancestry.

German people might not be as blonde as Danish, dutch or swedish on average but they are certainly much blonder than the other largest ancestries in the US , such as English, Scotch-Irish and Irish, French or Italian. I know it well because I mysel prefer blonde girls and germany has tons of them (I have been in Germany a few times), far more than in the British or Ireland btw.

I also don't think it's true that Germans are necessarily more fair/blond than those in British Isles. There are tons of fair/blond people in the British Isles, everywhere, but especially Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and Northern England. Germany is very blond in the north, but more brunette in the south, and the south has a larger population.
Brits have higher tendency to mousy brown and dark brown hair, If you have been to both countries you might know what Im talking about. very germanic looking people is way commoner in germany, the english are actually more "celtic" looking, google michael carrick to see what average english man looks like.

Even in southern germany there are tons of blondes, british islanders seem to be blondes as baby but as soon as they hit puberty they turn into brown haired, the most common combination among british islanders are

1) mousy hair, pale skin, mixed or blue eyes.
2) dark brown hair, pale skin and hazel or brown eyes.

^^^^This. At least for natural blondes, it's Minnesota. I've never seen so many natural blondes in my life, lol.

Northern MI and Michigan's upper peninsula also has quite a few natural blondes.

There also tends to be a lot of blondes in north Texas. The South in general seems to have a lot of blondes though not all of these are natural blondes

Minnesota would be my guess. They have a high Scandinavian population. CA's rep in terms of blondes is mostly based on TV and movies.

This is difficult to tell nowadays because so many women dye their hair blonde.

Am I the only one who doesn't care about hair color at all? It's the least interesting feature of women to me.
