My mom's family is from northern Italy -- Grandpa moved here when he was 18, and although my grandmother's parents were from the same town in Italy, Grandma was born in the States. My dad's family is from southern Poland.

I wish I had my grandpa's ancestry books with me but I think most of his side is Scottish/English, My grandma's English,(these are my mom's side) and my dad's side English as well but with a few Irish and one Dutch descent (nopt direct so I dunno if that counts) person thrown in somewhere. So I'm Heinz 57 I guess!

Mostly Irish and Serbian . . . we obviously have English (my mother was mistaken for the Elizabeth II more than once -- even by me! "Mom, why is your photograph on this stamp from England?").

Hmmm, and Mom is 1/2 Cherokee (although only the Irish/English part shows on her). My Aunt Kathy looks like a Cherokee woman!!! Of my mother's 14 brothers and sisters, only Kathy picked up a majority of the Cherokee.

Dad and his 8 brothers and sisters . . . definitely Serbian. My father was the first born American, in fact . . . from what was called "Yugoslavia" at the time!

Thumbs up Amazing stuff!!!

100% full blooded German....going all the way back to year 1200 something.
My Grandfather and Greatgrandfather (my dad's Father and Grandfather), went all out to research our family tree and anchestry.
They discovered, that we have tons of priests, bishops and nuns in our family, and 2 of my anchestors, females, were burned on the stake. (We believe it was "witch" related.....)
My family tree stops at one point, going back to the 1200's, because of church fires destroying stored documents, from the people living, born and died in the villages. So, some peoples family tree is lost forever, because of it.
I think, it's pretty amazing, and interesting stuff !
To bad it involves so much time and money though......
