I use multiple combinations. Cut the grass, cut the lawn, mow the grass, mow the lawn, trim the grass, trim the weeds, weedeat the grass, and sometimes just "Get your rear end out there and work!!!"

none of them seem to do any good.

I say, "mow the lawn." When my son was little, he would say, "lawn the mourn." Too cute, and now he's all grown, but he's still cute.

I think I use both, but probably "mow the lawn" more than "cut the grass." I'm from NJ.

I've probably used the phrase 'mow the lawn' more than 'cut the grass' but both sound fine to me. Of course, I haven't had a lawn to cut or mow in 16 years, but that is beside the point.

LOL. Reminds me of my dauther, now grown. Back when whe was about 2 or 3, one day I was putting gas in the mower and she asked, "Are you going to lawn the grass, Daddy?" What a sweetie!
