Me and two other people, between 18 and 25. Looking for a great nightlife, close (within an hr) of the beach. Awesome downtown. Lots to do. City feel. East coast. Opinions??? Trying not to go more south than South Carolina..

In these hard times these should be the least weighty factors in choosing a city to move to. Unless you are Paris Hilton how about a city with good job prospects

Low crime anyone?

something not prone to natural disasters?????

Hhaha ok... nothing too crazy pricey. Relatively cheap. We'd even like something just outside of a city- nearby to the busy, but in the calm is just good with us. Low crime is great but everyone is biased based on where they specifically live so who knows what really goes down. Natural disasters, i'd say, are a concern for all but with the way we've been treated our earth, its bound to change dramatically throughout the near future (from last summer to this one there has already been a DRAMATIC change- so why bother look TOO into it)

Houston is within an hour of the beach & has a great nightlife, but its not centered downtown anymore like it used to be. You can still find the 2nd largest theater district outside of New York City right in the heart of America's 4th largest city. The arts & cultural offerings are endless in Houston.

They're looking for a beachy, big city sort of place. Not Houston. I believe that's south of SC too.

Virginia Beach in the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area would be perfect.
